Every internet site I have visited, every Instagram tag I have stalked, every healthy food or fitness twitter account I follow, I have found myself as a victim of the abundance of Bootea adverts and recommendations.
As a 21st century gal at university, obviously anything that promotes weight loss will immediately ring and sound alarms in my head! So I went right ahead and did a bit of research on these 'little bags of love'.
BOOTEA, THE TEATOX FOR WEIGHT LOSS
The entirety of its appeal on the internet is definitely attractive. The pink and green title gives almost a 'girly' and refreshing impression and I was immediately pulled in!
They have a selection of 6 products on the website:
1. 14 Day Teatox, £19.99
2. 28 Day Teatox, £37.99
3. Bedtime Cleanse Tea (14 days worth), £10.99
4. Daytime Tea (14 days worth), £10.99
5. Bootea Shake (Smoothie), £34.99
6. Bootea Fitness Plan, £1.99
Along with this, Bootea provides a flexible eating plan which aims to help maximise your weight loss. It includes a lot of fruit and absolutely no meat! But hey, us girls are willing to do anything really for that bikini body we've all been dreaming of, right?
I was really excited by the prospect of this product as the web page looked well established and the use of 'natural ingredients' is very reassuring. I particularly like how Bootea don't claim to promote a "diet" as such, but more so promote the idea of a healthy body through getting rid of those nasty toxins and increasing your metabolism to help de-bloat.
The only flaw I could find was the price. As a struggling student who unluckily fell into the generation of £9000 a year student fees, I did find myself umming and uhhing over whether it was justifiable to spend £20 on a 2 week detox. However, cutting out meat out of my weekly shop will surely amend for some spare cash, and even better, first time buyers get a 10% discount; perfect!
Through a lot of internet research (come on girls, we're all guilty of it), I found they had an Instagram page solely for happy customers that send in their results after either a 14 day or 28 day detox. @Bootearesults demonstrates a plethora of before and after shots of real life people who have embarked upon the teatox, and proved to me that with dedications and a healthy life style, the teatox really does help. So, as you can imagine, I needn't look much further, and jumped straight onto the laptop and ordered my first 14 day teatox!

A YEAR OFF
I won't even try to deny it... I have been the worst blogger for a good year now! Travelling last summer, getting into uni in September and trying not to fail my 1st year actually took up a lot of time...
But I am now completely and utterly motivated to work towards my dream of becoming a journalist, and what better way that to write as often as possible about the ups and downs of my student life.
Here's to a better year of blogging!

CREME DE LA CROP
The crop is such a versatile little number; it can summer up a cute pair of denim shorts and sandals or sexify up an A-line skirt with chunky heels for a killer night out! But...and there is always a but...I am totally struggling to get a perfect summer bod to pull off a podgy-tummy-showing top! I feel these crops are suitable to only super skinny flat stomach gallies: damn you all!
So, I've started the Special K Diet : 2 bowls of Special K Cereal and 1 normal meal a day for 2 weeks - Lord help me! I also played Tennis for the first time in about 3 years on Tuesday, and I can assure you I was no Serena Williams but more of a David Williams playing Anne in Little Britain. It was highly embarrassing.
So, if I manage to actually get my desired Beyonce body, I want to share with you the crops I would love to purchase...one day...

BACK TO BASICS
Happy Friday everyone!
I myself started off my weekend last night after a night out with my best girls who have come back from uni for Easter!
Student night out on a Thursday is always a must where I come from; everyone makes that effort to throw on some heels and down as many £1 drinks as you can - usually the vodka lemonade, jager bomb or...my personal fave...malibu and coke.
Being one of the only ones in my group of friends on a gap year, I'm hardly going out, therefore hardly buying enough "going out" clothes. So, as any girl can imagine, I STRUGGLED in finding something to wear! Lord only knows what my room looked like after I left...
So, after trying on multiple outfits, I wore a cute pink flow-y skirt from River Island with a long sleeve black laced top from H&M teamed with classic peep-toe black suede heels.
I adore this skirt and you can never go wrong with a black lace, but I vow now to enlarge my going-out wardrobe by a mile!
This morning, God definitely answered my prayers. I got an email from Topshop entitled "The Covetable Cami" so I went on the main site and presented to me were a range of cami's with a twist... the perfect night-out saviour to wear with any form of bottom! Perfection! Here's a selection of a few that i'm loving...

As you can probabl tell, I'm a sucker for sequins! No more "what-to-wear" dashes for me! Good bye money...

RIH-WIND
Hey guys!
Sorry it's been so long since I've blogged... I know these are the most common excuses BUT i've had tonnes to do and tonnes to think about!
Anyway... I've been dying to write a post on the Rihanna for River Island range that came out early March. When I heard she had been designing for River Island, I was super excited to see what she could bring in for this Spring.
However, as I scrolled through the online site, all I saw were extremely boring and casual clothes! Don't get me wrong, a lot of the stuff was nice, especially the split motif she's used in a bunch of bottoms and tops, but they come across like you could buy them from any old high street shop! For me, nothing shouts out "exciting, edgy, different" - 3 adjectives I think anyone would use to describe Rihanna herself!
I must admit though, I adore the thigh-high split skirt ;)
Here are a few items left on the site:
Yes,.they are nice, and yes, they are fashionable, but COME ON RIHANNA, wheres the wow-factor?!?!
What do you guys think?

NOT-SO-NUDE NAILS
As much as I love doing my nails, I am the biggest culprit at letting them chip and not be asked to go and take it all off and start again, so they're usually 'nude'. But yesterday, my niece introduced my to the Nail Effect varnish by Barry M which I thought I'd give a go.
Honest opinion? Loved the colour, but not so fond of the texture. It felt like I hadn't painted them properly - which is normally the case anyway! - and that I had stuff stuck on my nails and painted over them! Maybe after a while it'll grow on me, but I took a few shots of the finished product anyway!
What do you guys think?

JEAN QUEEN
Today was the kind of day where I had absolutely NO idea what to wear. So, as I frantically tried to dig up the back of my wardrobe, a smile sprawled across my face as I found and pulled out a cute jean dress I had received as a present a few years back from H&M.
As much as it was a little tight across the chest, and I felt that I was literally about to pop buttons everywhere, I thought that I had to give the spring sunshine some justice by wearing it! Jack Frost was still hiding outside though as that crisp cold surely bit me on the ass on my way out, so I teamed up the dress with
- an Aztec print cardigan from Pippa Dee at Dorothy Perkins
- black tights
- black ankle socks
- black Topshop Chelsea boots
- and my trusty sidekick, Fiorelli Tan bag
And what says 'a sunny day' more than a bright pink lipstick?!
