UNDERGROUND KINGS: VIBE BAR

Before I start, yes, the title of this post is also the name of a song from one of my most favourite artists...Drake.

It's Monday afternoon and I think I have only just recovered from a raging hangover following FRIDAY night.
A family friend invited a bunch of us out to Vibe Bar in Brick Lane for Birthday drinks and every other antic that comes with it. Prior to that, however, I indulged in a creamy Lamb Korma with my Dorothy Perkins work friends, accompanied by a bottle of Rose (Sainsbury's finest) all to myself. Needless to say, I was just a tad tipsy by the time we got there, and I was welcomed by...or should I say taunted by...a line of tequila shots.

It cannot be denied that I was pretty gone by the end of the night...

Anyway, more onto the fashion side of things!

LOCATION: UNDERGROUND CLUB

Me and my sisters decided to go for bold, bright colours. I've always been a silhouette-black-clothes kinda gal and yes, I did wear a black peplum. However, I faced my fear and "vibed" it up with a bright red lippy and a gorgeous feather-like designed burgundy scarf from DP.

As much as I live by the notion of 'you cant go wrong with black', I definitely think two of my sisters stole the show with a luminescent orange peplum from River Island and an indulgent, purple, mystery hand-me-down found in the back of the wardrobe! You go girls

And the smart yet sassy unbuttoned shirt with buttoned up tweed blazer worn and modelled by my one and only Bro fitted in well with the classy yet let-loose vibe that was Vibe Bar. Love it.

NEW TURN

Hey guys, guess who's back!

The festive season has passed and so have 2 months of no blogging... as lazy as I seem, I have decided to take on a new edge to La Palabreuse

As a dedicated fanatic of Instagram, and following bloggers such as Peace Love Shea and The Blonde Salad, it's come to surface that...

1) I don't have money to travel to expensive, beautiful countries...and blog it
2) I don't have money to buy expensive outfits...and blog it
3) I don't have money to get to high end fashion shows or events...and blog it!

So... why not blog for the percentage of us who strut around small villages, towns and cities of England and wear High Street clothes, the odd hand me down and devote our shopping experiences to finding a good bargain?! La Palabreuse aims to do just that...

Welcome to a new blogging experience for the poor and the pretty: my diary of fashion, life and 'travel' for a cheapskate!
