WISH LIST

Having just signed up to Bloglovin, I've been absolutely in awe of the amazing clothes posted after being spotted on the street or blogger's wearing them out themselves. So I thought I'd share with you all what I love the most in the form of a very unlikely wishlist!

1. Parka, Je M'en Fous

This absolutely gorgeous winter Parka was spotted on The Blonde Salad after she wore it in New York after the Victoria Secret Show. I am totally in love with the fur hood and cuffs; perfect for winter. Unfortunately for me, it's 574Euros. Boo :(

STYLE CRUSH

RITA ORA

A black crocheted catsuit by Julien McDonald, Roberto Cavalli printed blazer and trousers, McQ dress by Alexander McQueen and a Thierry Mugler knee length number, I think it's fair to say that ORA has most certainly rocked the catwalk style perfectly!

The holey but hot McDonald catsuit was worn by Ora whilst performing her new single, Shine Your Light, on the X-Factor. Fitting in well with A/W's Gothic trend, Ora really captured the pop-star essence. Super sexy!

Contrastingly, Ora was spotted wearing Cavalli's rather out-there designed blazer and pants. Teamed with a simple satin top, I think Ora works the look perfectly without looking too busy. After all, tailored trousers are hot this season!

Following on from my post on the MOBO Awards, Ora wore a crazily cute Alexander Mcqueen dress, and tweeted this picture during the course of the Awards. Full of colours and flowers based upon a splash of black netting, Ora was clearly hanging on to what's left of the summer sunshine, but looked adorable.

And finally, we have the elegant Winter White by Mugler, another picture tweeted by the star herself. It is undeniable to say this is my favourite look of Ora's so far! Its suave, its sumptuous, its sexy and it makes her waist look absolutely TINY! And what's not to love about the peplum details? Definitely on my wish list.

YO YO, MOBO

Okay, I just COULDN'T resist a post on Saturday night's MOBO Awards...
As soon as I turned on the TV, I was instantly gob smacked by Chelsee Healey's glitterly number...

What the HELL was she thinking?! The large, ruffled, off the shoulder detail was so confusing to the eye, let alone the glitter! And teaming it with pearl encrusted peep-toes was definitely a fashion fail! OUCH.

BUT, it's unfair to say glitz and glam is a complete look-ruiner; Rebecca Ferguson stunned me in her gorgeous thigh high split sequinned dress. And LOVE the block fringe!

Flawless and stunning!
Did you guys watch the MOBO's? Who was your fashion-fave?

A/W12 - DARK AND DARING!

It can't be denied that Gothic influences have been surrounding us for years now, in every shape and form. Just have a look at the Vampire craze and the supernatural spectrum, following from the Twilight Saga to True Blood...even the airy-fairy stories we were all once told to fall asleep to have been turned into a twisted and Gothic fairy tale!

...just have a look at the costumes for Snow White! Everything about it is dark, sinful, wicked and daring; a perfect example of what Missguided is branding Gothicology!
Personally, i've always been a fan of black: the effortless yet stunning LBD every girl should have in their wardrobe is perfect for any night out - clubbing or fine dining! But the new take on this rebellious Gothic glamour has caught everyones attention and boasted A/W12's catwalk and high street trends!

Having just gone past Halloween, what better than to indulge ourselves with this A/W's forbidding fashion fix. Crucifix motifs, leather and silhouettes are this seasons perfect mix for a moody romance! Have you got a fashion Goth guru hiding somewhere?

THE EFFECTS OF SQUASH

From the title of this post, you probably think I'm talking about your everyday orange squash. It could be very easy to ramble on about the additives, the sugar, the artificial sweeteners etc etc etc. But no.

The motive to this post: an aching bum, painful arm muscles and the desperate need to stay in bed all day...
taken with Instagram: angelseebs1

...which, in fact, I am doing. By the way, meet Ginger, my teddy who's keeping me company today (actually can't live without my teddy's).

SO the cause of all this? Yesterday, I went to play Squash with my boyfriend and his Dad. Rest assured, I made certain I dressed appropriately (after trying on 3 different pairs of shorts) but I seemed to have forgotten one important detail... I haven't done an ounce of sport since Dance Leaders back in Year 12 - 2 years ago, and I DEFINITELY felt the effects.

Initially, I stood over court 2 watching the boyfriend and his dad battle out a game. I had never, ever played Squash before in my life, and I was frightened. There was no way I could have hit the ball that hard whilst continuously running up and down! HAHA they must have been kidding!!
So I thought that maybe I'd just watch at first, then maybe next time get involved with a bit of hitting the ball back and forth, until..

"Shall we give it a go?"

My heart literally started beating at about 100mph. I played my boyfriend's dad and, embarrassingly, was out of breath after hitting the ball about 5 times. Not only that, but the amount of times I missed the ball on a serve, or accidentally ran into the wall, or tried to do an impressive shot but failed, I just wanted to run away. Didn't help that I was frequently asking for water breaks when everyone I "played" weren't even out of breath :(

Regardless of the humiliating situation I put myself in, it was a damn good workout, and even though right now I'm suffering from an aching and tender bum, it will be worth it! And yes, I have plans to go back...not saying it's such a good idea after what happened yesterday, but I'm willing to give it another go!

Come at me firm bum.

A/W12 - BAROQUE ROCKS!

Embellishment, embroidery, extravagance - the 3 "e's" perfect to describe A/W's rebellion of ornate clothing!

We've gone back in time to the 17th Century where the Baroque and Rococo periods made an appearance and have now come alive this season through eye catching golds and blacks! The runway produced a heavy amount of patterns, jewels and other shimmery stuff, outlining the complexity of the Baroque and Rococo movement.

From dresses to jackets to trousers to accessories, opulent and lavish couture from the catwalk hit the high street quickly as we see a parade of elaborate Rococo-inspired prints and ornamentation; perfect for a sexy yet luxurious night out!

I'm in love with the patterns; and gold and black? The two most "look at me I'm rich and glamorous" colours...need I say more?

My fave STYLE SPOTS for this trend so far...
ASOS Premium Knicker Short with Floral Embellishment

ASOS Brocade Metal Plate Waist Belt

...and only £45 and £18! Bargain!... (I wish)

INTERNSHIP

Could it be?! La Palabreuse is actually DOING something with her gap year!

I never thought the day would come, but I've landed myself an internship and YES, the first day wasn't an all round disaster!
Okay, I'll admit, when I got the email from the guy asking to meet at the shared office space in a hotel, I was freaked out. Typical really to think the worst of things...

Oh my gosh, I bet this is a fake company
Oh no, he's going to take me away
What if he's an old weird man?!?!?!

Of course, I was being unnecessarily over the top. In fact, I felt ridiculously bad when I met him. He was young, lovely and really easy going! Damn my instincts.

So I started off yesterday with some market research, and as much as all 3 workers that were there were lovely, I don't think I fit in quite yet...yes, it was the battle of the laptop.
There I was, sat on a table with everyone tapping away on there virtually silent MacBook's and I had to pull out my chunky, MAHUSIVE noise maker: the HP lappy.
Why is it that this laptop continuously has to make weird, random noises. And it's got a bad habit of overheating and making this stupid JJJJJHHHH sound. Now, you can only imagine the ridiculousness of sitting in a room full of business men and women, all with their MacBook's, concentrating intently, whilst I tried to tame my beast of a laptop. Embarrassing :'(

A NEW OBSESSION

Fashion mad?! Or just plain crazy...

As a new blogger, I want to introduce everyone to my journey; a journey of new experiences, new passions and new obsessions.

SO, the theme to this blog.
Speaking of new stuff, recently, I've had a new obsession with fashion. High Street fashion, catwalk trends, you name it.
Funny really, seeing as I have no money to keep up with any of it...sigh.
So prepare yourselves for an amateur and rookie-style blog defining the new things happening on my journey to the top, along with new styles that I think are hottest this season!
